He joined Chinmaya Tapovan Asharm for two years in Dharmsala, Himachal Pradesh. During his training, he completely got aloof from his family and had no contact with any of the members. After six months of his stay in ashram, he informed his family about his present condition. His family insisted him to return home since his mother was very ill. On hearing his mother’s condition, he returned to see his mother but could not stay long. His family tired their best to prevent him to leave his home again, but in vain. His parents’ death made him feel guilty for some time, but his life had already taken a different turn from where it was impossible for him to return. After two year of studies he left for pilgrimage to different Himalayan regions of Uttarkashi, Gangotry, Kedarnath, Badrinath . He wandered around as a mendicant, begging for food. He had a quest to experience how mother nature takes care of him. He encountered different situations and events and got to experience different aspects of life.

One such incident has etched an indelible mark in his mind. Once while wandering through the foothills of majestic Himalaya, he had lost his way and had nowhere to go. There was not a single sight of human habitation nearby. As the darkness set in, and the mountain winds started blowing noisily, the situation became more uncomfortable, but he did not lose hope and faith on God and somehow managed to arrive at a small house in the midst of a deep forest. A lady used to live there along with her daughter. In spite of scarcity of food, she offered her a single piece of bread (chapatti) and coriander sauce. She also offered him shelter for the night and provided a blanket to cover him from the chilling weather. But the wind was too cold for him to sleep under one blanket comfortably. He got out of the hut and got mesmerized by the beauty of the night. The silence of the night was invaded by low creaky noise of the pine leaves of the innumerable frosted pine trees and the dark sky was illuminated with the bright shining stars. The wonderstruck beauty of this moment enchanted him. This night had created in him a new craving for life. As a note of gratitude, our teacher traveled to the next village in the morning and brought food ingredients for the lady to survive and thanked for her unconditional hospitality.

He started his own school in India. He has been frequently traveling to Switzerland, Sweden, Netherlands, Germany, Austria etc. for the purpose of teaching and organizing workshop around Europe.
