  • Yoga – Introduction
  • Origin of yoga
  • Different paths of yoga – KarmaYoga, Bhakti Yoga and Jnana Yoga Raja Yoga, Hatha Yoga
  • Consciousness and awareness
  • Patanjali Yoga Sutra – Chapter 1 and chapter two will be defined briefly Yama, Niyama (social and personal rules and regulations)

 

Panch kosha (five covering or sheaths over consciousness)

  • Annamaya kosha (physical sheath) – Gross body
  • Pranamaya kosha (energy sheath) – Subtle body
  • Vigyan Maya Kosha
  • Manomaya Kosha
  • Ananda Maya Kosha
  • Pranayam, Panch-prana (five vital breaths of air) – Shitali, Shikari, Nadi Shodhan, Kaplabhati, Bhastrika, Bhramari Pranayama

Evaluation and Certification

  • Assessments will be based on written as well as practical evaluation.
  • Student conduct will be a part of the assessment criterion.
  • The evaluation will be carried out only for those students who have a minimum of 90% attendance

DAILY SCHEDULE

  • 06.30 am: Meditation/Kriya
  • 08.00 am: Yoga asana
  • 10.00 am: Breakfast
  • 11.00 am: Art of teaching/alignment/sequencing/adjustment : Chanting
  • 12:00 pm: Patanjali Yogasutra / Anatomy
  • 01.00 pm : Lunch/ rest time
  • 04.00 pm: Yoga Asana/Pranayama & teaching skills (body poses & breathing exercises)
  • 07:00 pm: Dinner
  • 08:00 pm: Satsang [Bhajan Singing, Chanting, Question & Answer session]The first day of the course starts with the introduction of Yoga – it’s various forms, benefits and practices; followed by a brief introduction of the teacher and the students Please bring white loose clothes for the ceremony.

Note – the ceremony will start the first day at 4 pm
