YOGA AND THE MYSTERY OF THE CHAKRAS
Yoga is the age-old science of transformation.
Man is the most self-conscious being on earth. However, this self-awareness often leads to suffering and delusion, which in turn brings pain, hurt and guilt. Symptoms that cannot be treated in the hospital. The only way to treat them is to correct thoughts and ways of thinking. This requires a so-called awakening by activating the available options and tools, especially the chakras.
We see ourselves as a father, daughter, wife, teacher, friend, Christian, victim, Austrian etc. – thoughts that we think again and again and consider to be the truth (only reality). There is a danger of being enslaved by different patterns of thought. Which in turn can lead to suffering?
The way we think and feel is what defines us. The feeling becomes thinking and thinking becomes feeling. This, in turn, shapes our body and our environment, guides our actions. The magical interplay of chemistry in the form of hormones, proteins etc., the resulting emotions, thoughts – and vice versa – paired with energies and external influences is the great mystery of man.
Yoga teaches us how to get behind this physical reality and experience a state of thoughtlessness, detachment and inner peace.
The highlights of the yoga retreat are:
- Meditation from the world of tantra
- Kundalini yoga
- Bandhas – “locks of the body” to conduct the energy up to the crown chakra
- Hatha yoga positions to activate, strengthen, stretch muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia
- Activation of the chakras through specific exercises
- Different breathing exercises
- Chakra meditation
- Yoga Nidra
- Yoga philosophy (in modern life)
For thousands of years, yoga has taught how the activation of energy centres through asanas, breathing exercises and meditation is possible. Blocked, depleted, overused chakras lead to immune deficiency, illnesses, physical and mental fatigue. With proper exercises, we rejuvenate and bless the chakras and thus our whole being.
The universal law applies that energy follows attention. So if you pay more attention to the tip of your head, the energy will follow. Crown chakra and pineal gland are stimulated, which has a very positive effect on the mind and one’s own radiance, immune defence. You will practice and experience this intensively during the retreat, so that self-healing and realignment are possible for the material world.
Akhilesh Bodhi has been teaching yoga and its philosophy for over 20 years. He has already trained hundreds of students to become renowned yoga teachers. Students and retreat participants particularly appreciate his deep knowledge of yoga, his competence, his gentle manner and his humour. Yoga is his life. Yoga is life.
